big helper
Today Andrew helped Jeremy and Tonya (the parents of Austen) move. He thought he was a big help moving hangers. He also carried many other things which were truly a blessing to the Minors. But towards the end he couldn't help any longer because he was just too tired to be a big helper. We hope Jeremy and Tonya will enjoy their new home, it is very lovely.

Big Spoon
We were having mac-n-cheese for dinner Monday night. Andrew was struggling to get his food because his baby spoon only would hold one noodle at a time. So we got him his baby fork thinking he could fork a few at a time, but that didn't work either. Chris got the great idea to give him one of our spoons. He put the spoon in the bowl for Andrew and Andrew's eyes got real big and said, "Wow, big poon!" Chris and I had a good laugh at that. The rest of the night Mr. Funny guy kept saying that phrase to see our response. I didn't know he could put an adjective and a noun together yet, shows you what I know. Our God has truly blessed us with a child who loves to learn and humor others.

Whenever I pull out the camera to take a picture I can't because he decides to come and love on me ie. try to play with the camera. So if you think I have a problem with closeups it is not me it is Andrew. I am constantly pushing him back. If you could see his belly you would see my hand. I don't have the problem it is Andrew and his nosey nature.
I am that MOM
I hate to say it but I have become that mom. You know the mom with the child who doesn't match. The mom who looks cool but inside is dying because her child decided today was the day he wanted to dress like a superman just to go to Wal-Mart. This happened to me last Wednesday. Andrew came up to me just as we were about to go and run some errands and asked for a hat. I thought he meant the real cute baseball cap that is kahki and with navy blue print says "Daddy's buddy." Which I would like to interject would have looked lovely with his navy blue coat and his outfit beneath that coat. But no he points to this other hat (given by some lovely friends of mine) that is camouflage and has an orange stripe running all around it. Keep in mind that he has on no orange or colors that would really match with camouflage (I don't care what you men think not everything goes with camouflage). So I closed my mouth and prayed in my heart for strength but God said to me is this worth a battle for your vanities sake. And I said yes it is Lord. But Andrew's face of excitement told me he loved that hat and had to have it to make his joy complete that day. So I became that mom of the child not matched but I was actually beaming because my child had decided that day to become more independent and more creative with his ensemble choices. Not to say I didn't try on many occasions to leave the hat in the car but as soon as I took it off he would kindly say "Hat please." So I guess in the end I became the proud mommy of the son who chose that Wednesday to have his head camouflaged in the aisles of Wal-Mart.
Pink Eye
Andrew has gotten his first case of pink eye (which lead to an ear infection). I thought maybe he got some comet in his eye while I was cleaning the tub. His eye started looking blood shot and the next day mucus started to appear (it looked like a kittens eye when they get all yucky). I was able to catch it early enough so it didn't get too bad. Who knows where he got it from. So far Chris and I have not yet caught it.

Prayer time
I would like for everyone to know what a prayer warrior Andrew is. Andrew loves to pray at any moment. His prayers go something like this, "mumble, mumble, mumble, mumble, amen." Just a couple of weeks ago he inserted my friend Tonya's name. Just to let you know he will pray for you if you want him to.
