I don't know why I love this shot but I do. It looks like a toddler not wanting to take any more photographs. Posted by Picasa

I thought you would like to see more of the photo shoot. Posted by Picasa

Back To The Norm

I know I said I missed my home but I am now ready for a vacation. It's amazing how busy life is when you return to it. My poor husband has only seen Andrew for a few moments because of his busy days. All the work I need to do around the house got postponed today because today is Monday and I take Mondays off. I know it sounds silly to have a day off if I stay at home everyday but if I didn't I would go crazy. I like the idea of nothing being planned. It is very refreshing.
Andrew won lots of brownie points with me yesterday at church. I was telling our pastor's wife about our vacation. We talked about Disney and all the characters we saw. Our pastor's wife asked Andrew if he thought Cinderella was pretty and Andrew said, 'Yes, like Mommy.' It almost made me cry. His daddy is raising him well.

Vacation is almost over

Sorry I have been slack in our updates. My mom and dad treated us to a wonderful night at the resort where my mom works. It was an amazing time. Mom and Dad watched Andrew while we went and had a vacation within the vacation. I can't tell you how nice everything was. My mom had a fondue platter sent up to our room. I wish I took a picture because everything on it was edible. There were strawberries (double dipped chocolate strawberries), brownies, blondie brownies, apricots and other little things. We then went to a very fancy resturaunt and enjoyed a three course meal. Everywhere we went we were treated like gold. It was so relaxing. Later that night after all that fancy stuff we went and saw Talledaga Nights (funny at times and crude at times).
Today Mom, Chris, Andrew and I went to the beach. It was another wonderful time. I miss my home and I look foward to coming home. Although, I will miss seeing my parents everyday.

Anniversary

Today was a great day. Chris and I celebrated our 7th anniversary. We had a great time at the beach with Andrew. We wanted to go to a pool but apparently public pools are closed. Amazing, August 14 and we didn't have a pool to go to. I was amazed. Because the kids are back in school they close all the pools. Who would have thought.
Instead we head off to the beach as a family. I love going to the beach with Andrew. He always has a good time. While at the beach Chris was saying how much he loved the beach but hated the sand. Just as soon as he said that Andrew looked up at him and said 'Daddy, I love da sand.' It was a true statement since he had just ate half the beach. Chris later gave him the task of throwing away a bottle. As he starts to walk away his shorts start to fall down in the back (sand and water with no hips equal lots o' crack). He'd take his free hand and pull them up. He'd take a few more steps and repeat the pulling up process. It was adorable. Keep in mind he wasn't wearing any swimmers under his trunks so we got to see a lot of his backside. I wish I had a got a picture (or video) because my words don't do it justice. He was very kind to pick up lots of shells to give to me. It was a relaxing family time.

Vacation Day 2

Yesterday (Friday) our family drove to Florida for our vacation. Instead of going straight to my parents house we were able to stop and visit some of Chris' family in Lakeland. We stopped in to visit with his Aunt Nina and got a wonderful surprise to see that his Aunt Margie was there too. Later that night his Aunt Teeter and his cousin Lisa came and we all had a nice long visit. Aunt Nina had one more wonderful surprise for us. She works for Disney and was able to get us into the park for free. But even cooler than that (as if that isn't cool enough) we got to have breakfast with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Alice (in the Wonderland), Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins. It was a wonderful treat. Andrew LOVED Winnie but his feeling for Tigger were not the same. Whenever Tigger would come by he would cry and say 'Tigger, go home.' That is why you won't see a happy picture with Tigger. But the one you see with Alice isn't a very good picture because Tigger had just walked by and Andrew had another fit. Wouldn't you know it, Alice walks by to talk with us and to take pictures and Andrew was all teary eyed. Keep in mind it is not because of her but because of that Tigger. It was adorable.
After the breakfast we headed over to the park. We got to see many more famous characters. I don't think I'll have to tell you who we saw. Andrew and Chris got to ride the carousel and later we went to see a show. The show was a welcome break from the heat. It was a 3-D show so Andrew wanted you all to see how handsome he looked with his glasses. About five minutes later Chris was rushing out of the show due to a major melt down. It was a lot to handle and even I walked out with a headache from the noise and my eyes working so hard to see through the cool glasses. Andrew and Chris got to ride Dumbo together and later we all rode It's a Small World After All. If you ask Andrew what was his favorite ride he would tell you the train. He was more excited about riding the train than riding any other ride.
It was a wonderful first day but I wish we could have got to see more of the park. It was so hot that we weren't able to do much. We did have a wonderful time.

They both couldn't make it all the way home. Andrew got a good nap on the train ride. All the excitement tuckered him out. Posted by Picasa

Look at those sleepy eyes. This is on the train headed back to home.  Posted by Picasa

Not pictured is me having a heart attack on the ground. This little girl jumped on at the last minute and took Andrew up very high. Many prayers were lifted up in those short 3 minutes. Posted by Picasa

Dr. Visit

I went to the perinatal (the correct spelling) doctor's office today and had some good news and some bad news. The bad news is I have to give myself blood thinner (hepbrin) shots until 6 weeks after the baby is born. The good news is that they aren't as expensive or as painful as originally expected. The other good point is that I won't have to worry throughout the pregnancy if I or the baby have a blood clot. They are completely safe for the baby, which was a big concern for us. The doctor reassured us many times that there is no side effects to the baby. They also said that I would have a few more ultrasounds to make sure the baby is growing. Having more ultrasounds is always a good thing.
Cute story about Andrew. Yesterday we were leaving the consignment sale and driving by the airport. Andrew asked if we were going to see planes. I said yes we will see a few planes. His reply took me by surprise, he said 'That's cool mommy.' For the briefest moment we had a conversation. Now that's cool.
