Birthday Day...

On his actual birthday we took him to his favorite playground. He loves to climb through the trees and down the slide.   The playground is at a local church, and the whole place is Bible themed.  Both of the boys really like it.
Here's the boys getting ready to go down the slide.  If you can't tell by the look on my face...I didn't mean to be in this picture.

can you believe it's been one year? especially for you - you guys have had a busy busy year!! i can't believe the boy is one. it's so funny, because when you are thinking about having a baby, it's all baby baby baby newborn nursery infant thoughts. and that's only like a minute and a half of their life. suddenly, they're little toddlers destroying your house. at least that's my take on it. :)

you're welcome for the rant. :)

sounds like isaac and jonathan are kindred spirits when it comes to napping. until recently, we've had 1.5 hours in the am and 1.5 hours in the pm. he went to sleep easily and i considered him a great sleeper.

lately, it's anyone's guess whether he's going the sleep for 30 minutes or 2 hours (that's our max). he might go to sleep or play for an hour first or just scream for awhile. at night, he's gone from a 7:30pm to 7:00am sleeper to - well, nothing can describe it. a couple of nights ago, he played in his crib for 2 hours before going to sleep. Sunday night, he woke up from 2 until 4 and played. Then, at 4:30 he started screaming. He has been getting up at about 8:30 lately (due to erratic bedtimes and lying awake for hours at a time). Suddenly, this morning, he got up at 6:30. I think he wanted to get up and go to the gym. I didn't want to get up. He's all over the place.
I like structure.
Thanks for letting me rant.

Sarah P.,
It is inside and it is awesome. The tree is on one side. Next to it is a playground for 5 and up kids. It is at least 50 feet high with ropes, cool obstacles, and a boat slide that is ark like. Andrew likes to play on the big stuff but gets scared coming down the slides. Your kids would have a blast.
